Training program in National Security and Public Policy
The program in National Security and Public Policy was designed to prepare analysts for national security community for careers as government policymakers in defense/security agencies, diplomats, non- governmental policy analysts and business leaders. It offered training in analytical methods and approaches to national security and public policy and focused on skills and knowledge necessary to participate in the national security policy process and shape the future. The emphasis gave students the analytical tools to effectively address critical public policy and national security issues thereby enhanced public policy debate and capacity for made effective and better informed decisions.
The training curriculum included courses on Economics, International Economics, International Security, National Security, Public Policy, Research Methods, Post Soviet Space and International Finances, around 200 hours of class instruction. Courses were delivered by the U.S. and Georgian instructors.
The training program was implemented by GFSIS and supported by the U.S. Government.
