Frederick Lamy has an MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies, with a concentration on Central Asia, from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. He has been working with the International Crisis Group in Tbilisi, and is currently conducting research supported by SYNI, a Swiss programme for International Cooperation. His research addresses, protection of the Armenian minority in Georgia, governance in Samstkhe-Javakheti, and political mobilisation of ethnic minorities in Georgia.
