Johanna Popjanevski is a Project Coordinator and Junior Research Fellow at the Central Asia - Caucasus Institute & Silk Road Studies Program - affiliated with the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University and the Department of East European Studies of Uppsala University. Ms. Popjanevski is based at GFSIS for 7 months, coordinating a joint project on "Conflict Management and Ethnic Relations in the South Caucasus". Her research is on the judicial framework in relation to the protection of national minorities in Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Ms. Popjanevski holds an LL.M degree in Public International Law from Lund University, in collaboration with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights in Sweden and with Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
