April 23rd, 2010 HE Mr. Masayoshi Kamohara, the Ambassador of Japan to Georgia, presented a public lecture titled Foreign Policy of Japan in the 20th Century at GFSIS.
On 22 April 2010 GFSIS conducted a graduation ceremony for the first cohort of graduates from the tailored training program for military officers from the Joint Staff of the Ministry of Defense.
On 12 April 2010 Europe House Georgia and The Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies co-hosted the public presentation of Ronald D. Asmus`s new book: A Little War that Shook the World: Georgia, Russia, and the Future of the West.
The Solidarity Academy is a project directed to young people from Poland and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. On August 5th, 2009 the presentation of the book, "The Guns of August 2008: Russia's War in Georgia" was held at the GFSIS. The book which was published by M.E. Sharpe, is written by 10 experts from the U.S., Europe, Russia and Georgia and edited by Svante E. Cornell and Frederick Starr.

As an initative of CLSN partners – Moldova (FPA) and Georgia the GFSIS has chosen the “About Foreign Policy at the Bank of Dniester†summer school seminar participant Ms. Magda Nebieridze. The seminar was organized by the Foreign Policy Association of Moldova and took place in Moldova on 13 – 18 July 2009. Ms. Magda Nebieridze participated in the seminar and shares her opinion on the event.
