The Foundation was pleased to welcome Colonel James R. Howcroft, of the George C. Marshall European Centre for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany), on 19 December 2007. Howcroft, the United States Marine Corps Chair at the Centre's College of International and Security Studies, was joined by his colleagues Lieutenant Colonel Tod Brown, Lieutenant Colonel Chris Cavoli and Captain Shawn Kyle who gave a presentation on the United States' military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan and then opened the floor to questions from the audience.
