
The program in National Security and International Relations was implemented by GFSIS from 2001 through 2008 with the financial support of the U.S. State Department. The program targeted national security community of Georgia, both opinion makers and opinion crafters and aimed at enhancing the knowledge on the issues related to national security and international affairs in order to contribute to the public policy discourse in the country. The number of program graduates is over 120 and many of them are influential throughout the government as well as civil society.

The discussion that applied Chatham House rules evolved around the issues of the U.S. – Georgia bilateral cooperation as well as touched upon the regional security issues.
