Ms. Wennerholm holds a M.A. in Gender Analysis in Development from University of East Anglia and Sociology from the University of Växjö, Sweden. Recently she has taken independent courses on Environmental Protection including Climate Change and CSR at Stockholm University. She has 20 years experience from development work with a gender perspective as project manager, head of department and consultant. Her areas of expertise include gender in development, gender and poverty, trafficking in human beings, gender based violence, gender and health, and gender in conflict. She worked for two years in Chiapas Mexico with Guatemalan refugees during a violent period in Guatemala, and developed a protection program for the women. During 2002-2007 she worked as a consultant to the Norwegian Refugee Council with IDPs in Georgia, developing a gender program for teachers and peer-leaders. She has an experience in project management and evaluation, studies, overviews, models for cooperation and coordination. She is an experienced trainer and has published. She has long-lasting experience of working for and with Sida, with UN (UNHCR, UNFPA) the WB and IDB, Norwegian Refugee Fund, NGOs such as Kvinnoforum, Emmaus International and various consultancy firms. She has also worked in Sweden extensively on issues on trafficking in human beings, among others closely with Swedish Police, Migration Board, the Prosecutors Office, Social Welfare Board and various civil society actors. The anti-trafficking work has also included vast international cooperation. She has field experience from Latin America, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Africa.
